One person was killed and a second was injured when a vehicle overturned after crashing into a barrier on Route 30 in southern New Jersey.
The cause of the crash, which occurred near Delilah Road in Absecon on Saturday around 10:05 p.m., remains under investigation. No other vehicles were involved in the accident, NJ.com reported.
According to a report published in the Press of Atlantic City, the driver of the vehicle was ejected on impact and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as a 28-year old man from Galloway Township. The injured passenger was treated and transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, but details on the extent of the injuries the passenger suffered were not disclosed.
The eastbound lanes of Route 30 were closed for about seven hours as police investigated and cleared the scene, NJ.com reported.
